Through diverse and comprehensive course work, cultural activities, and research and travel opportunities, the Honors Program enables students to engage in a vigorous intellectual lfie while crafting a track of classes and inquiry leading to post graduate success.
Features and benefits of the Honors Program include:
- Renewable residential scholarships of $2,000 to $5,000.
- Academic Freedom -- With fewer core requirements you’ll be able to choose and create an individual path to success.
- Priority registration—You’ll be among the first to pick your classes every semester.
- Special housing privileges—Honors students are guaranteed housing all four years and have the opportunity to reside in Quest Housing with fellow first year Honors and Leadership students.
- Mentoring by top professors to develop a distinctive academic portfolio to prepare you for prestigious scholarships and graduate study.
- Opportunities for independent study and undergraduate research with outstanding professors. Research stipends and travel awards of up to $1,000 are available.
- Experience the world—Honors students are encouraged to travel abroad.
- Special Honors courses taught by distinguished Honors Faculty including a capstone seminar on contemporary world issues.
- Visiting scholars and speakers further enrich and build on what you learn in class.
