International Graduate Admission Requirements
International students (not a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) interested in a Graduate Level (Masters) program at Christopher Newport University should follow the requirements outlined below.
First, check our dates and deadlines.
- Submit official, translated academic transcripts from all secondary schools, colleges, and universities you’ve attended to World Education Services (WES) for a course-by-course review.
Submit the following to the Office of Graduate Studies
- The Graduate Application for International Students.
- Scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) to Graduate Admissions. (To be considered for admission, you must submit a minimum score of 92 for the Internet-based TOEFL, or an equivalent score of 237 on the computer-based TOEFL or an equivalent score of 580 on the paper-based TOEFL.
- A Financial Resources Statement to show that you can afford to study in the United States.
- Official bank affidavits verifying the availability of financial resources listed on the Financial Resources Statement.
