For all freshmen:

Learning Communities are designed so that you may live on the same floor of one of our residence halls with 18-20 other students and take several classes together.  Learning Communities are a great way to help you make friends, study more effectively, and become a successful student in your first semester.  You’ll also have an upper class peer mentor and a faculty member who will work with you on time management and study strategies Remember, you sign up for housing and send your $250 deposit separately from choosing a Learning Community or Quest Housing (see below).

For members of the Honors and President's Leadership Program:

Another learning community, Quest Housing, gives interested Honors and Leadership Students the option of living together in a wing of York River Hall.    Quest is a popular choice if you wish to live in an environment with other freshmen who share high energy and enthusiasm for intensive academic pursuits.  Please note that it is not possible to participate in both Quest Housing and a separate Learning Community.    Remember, you sign up for housing and send your $250 deposit separately from choosing a Learning Community or Quest.
