Graduate Admissions
At Christopher Newport University, graduate students learn in small classes with dedicated faculty who are scholars in their fields and experienced professionals. Our graduate programs offer challenging courses, opportunities to participate in recognized research programs, and a strong sense of community.

We welcome applications from students who have earned a bachelor’s degree from, or who are in their senior year at, a regionally accredited university or college (with a grade point average of at least 3.0).

We also welcome applications from international students.  To apply to the graduate program as an international student, please complete this admissions application.

CNU also offers Five-Year Bachelor’s to Master’s Degree Programs that allow CNU undergraduates to complete a bachelor’s degree and then earn a master’s degree in just one additional year. This application is not available online.

How to apply depends on the program you select. Visit the Office of Graduate Studies for specific dates and deadlines.
