Honors & Leadership Program Sessions
Special sessions are offered to qualified students interested in Christopher Newport University's distinguished Honors and President's Leadership Programs. Admission to both programs is selective, competitive and based on the availablity of space.

All first-time, full-time, degree-seeking freshmen applicants with a cumulative high school grade-point average of 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) and either a combined score of 1200 on the Critical Reading and Math sections of the SAT (580 Critical Reading) or a composite score of 27 on the ACT (25 ACT English) will be invited to join the Honors program Honor students are also eligible to apply to the President's Leadership Program.

Honors & Leadership visits coincide with our daily tours and information sessions and provide potential Honors and Leadership students with the opportunity to learn more about each program from our Dean of Admission or an Associate Director of Admission. Visitors are also able to attend a class on a space-available basis during their campus visit.

Option 1 :   10:00am to 1:50pm   M, W & F
10:00am - 12:00pm Attend regularly scheduled information session and tour
12:00pm - 12:45pm Attend special Honors/Leadership session

Option 2 :   12:00pm to 4:00pm   M, W & F
12:00pm - 12:45pm Attend special Honors/Leadership session
2:00pm - 4:00pm Attend regularly scheduled information session and tour
